The Golden Harp Tuning

As a prelude to the tuning, allow yourself to come into a state of quiet relaxation. You can lie on your back quietly, or sit in a comfortable place, or you can also stand up. In every position the experience will be different. If you choose not to stand up, you may imagine the gestures and the flows of vitality ‘as if’ you are standing up.

Begin by inhaling over the period of 4 seconds, holding the air for 7
seconds and releasing the air over the period of 8 seconds. This can be repeated up to 5 times.

Now the tuning begins by imagining a huge golden harp, of which every human in the world is one string with its own unique color, all the strings together forming an infinite array of wonderful hues. The player of this harp is the Creator of the World.
There is no music in the Creator's finger nor is there sound in the single strings. The music is created in the meeting between the two. The finger of the Creator plays on the string of each human in an individual way. Tuning our string allows us to realize our unique destiny and courageously bring the blessings of truth, love, freedom and affinity of hearts into the world.

Next, stand with the feet touching the ground gently, the left arm stretched effortlessly upward with the shoulder close to the left ear, and the right arm calmly directed downward, parallel to the body. Imagine a column of light which flows from the stars of the heavens and radiates through the body to the depths of the earth. This shower of light into which I 'melt' is the light of truth and I connect myself to its vitality. Through observing and listening, the truth of the world around me and the truth of my inner self envelop me and are slowly revealed to me.” While the vitality of the light of truth continues to flow through this verticality, bring both arms into the horizontal plane with the right palm facing down and the left palm facing up. Feel imbued with the experience of the warmth of love flowing through the back between the shoulder blades and moving forward through the chest, from which it begins to circling first to the left side then back through the center to the right side in the shape of a horizontal 8. These lemniscates grow larger and larger as they spread into the surrounding spaces. Experiencing the warmth of love for and from the world flowing through the heart in the horizontal plane fills us with tenderness and compassion. I feel love for every creature, from the smallest microorganisms in the earth, through the plants, grasses, bushes and trees, and everything that is around me, the fish, the small and large animals, the butterflies and the birds. I also experience love for every human, we are all one in creation. As the sun radiates its light and warmth to everyone, regardless of whether they have done good or bad things, so my heart shines, filled with the powers of the sun, giving warmth and light to every part of creation, mineral, plant, animal and human. I melt into the world and experience the love from the world that also flows through me and fills me.”

As the horizontal lemniscates gradually grow to infinity, the currents of the warmth of love meet the vital flow of the vertical pillar of the  light of truth in the heart center.

Now, let the arms relax down to the sides of the body, while simultaneously experiencing the light of truth in the vertical dimension and the warmth of love in the horizontal dimension. Then turn your attention to the meeting point. Here the joy of freedom is experienced. A stream of happiness moves between the shoulder blades forward through the chest in 8-shaped circles growing now in front and behind. These circles of freedom expand further and further into infinity. I am a free human and I allow every other human to be free. I feel how freedom fills me, how I pass this freedom on into the world and how this flow of freedom comes back to me. I am a free being, all people are free and this experience fills me with joy.”

These three dimensions merge: the vertical where the light of truth is awakened, the horizontal where the warmth of love streams and the front and back, where the joy of freedom flows.

Now gently open the legs and slightly raise the arms to the sides, palms facing downward, creating a triangle form. The attention is turned to the earth on which our feet stand firmly. The support of the earth, which is also rocks, crystals, moisture, roots, warmth, and everything that is active in it, is experienced rising upward as the strength of courage. I feel now that I am filled with courage flowing through my feet up through my whole body and from me into the world. This courage strengthens me so I can truly live in the light of truth, act out of the warmth of love, and experience the joy of freedom. Step by step, I emerge and become a fine-tuned string upon which the Creator can play with joy and awaken in me the vitality that allows me to realize truth, love, freedom and courage in myself and in my actions in the world. I am in this way one string among many strings, on a golden harp composed of all of humanity and played by the Creator of the World.

To conclude the tuning, one may repeat five series of breaths of "4-7-8" filled with great gratitude for the gift of creation in which we live.
